The 30-meter car
The "30-meter car" project from the Continental company strikingly shows how much potential lies in project networking. The goal of this project was to shorten the braking distance of a compact class automobile from 40 m to 30 m at a speed of 100 km/h.
For this purpose all the chassis components involved were combined into 8 function blocks. The control units of each function block were then networked with each other.
An efficient communication system is absolutely necessary for this type of networking.
