LIN Slaves

LIN Slaves can be individual sensors or actuators which exchange data directly with the LIN Master and other control units. But it is also possible to integrate a control unit as a LIN Slave. In this case the corresponding sensor or actuator system is connected to the control unit. This LIN Slave can control or regulate these connected sensors/actuators alone, just as a conventional control unit, without loading the LIN bus unnecessarily. A data transmission occurs only if the LIN Master explicitly requests data. Furthermore the number of devices connected to the LIN bus is reduced (a max. of 16 Slaves are allowed).
