Conceptualising systems - LUK
For more than ten years LUK has not only been working in their usual main business of mechanical components, but they have also been working in the field of power train automation. Right at the beginning of this work the necessary automation strategies were developed and implemented along with the mechanical components.
Not until after the application of electronics and software does mechanics become a "mechatronic system". This catch word, which is being used recently, simply means that instead of considering mechanics, electronics and software separately, an integrated concept takes their place, which is optimised across all the component boundaries.
This inevitably calls for integration into an efficient bus system. For this reason LUK uses the advantages of bus systems consistently and innovatively.
