Bus connection- Cylinder head gasket with sensor

An excellent example of the IPO principle with integration into a bus system is the cylinder head gasket SensoriCS from the Victor Reinz company.

The cylinder head gasket seals the combustion chamber, as well as the cooling fluid circulation and oil circulation from each other at the cylinder head/motor block interface. Consequently there exists an excellent access to the interior of the engine through the cylinder head gasket, as well as to the metallic parts and also to the so-called gaseous and liquid media.

The integration of a temperature sensor in the cylinder head gasket has several advantages compared with other sensor design concepts. For example:
